Hi, I have a dv5 2130us notebook, windows 10 64bit, but I am having trouble getting a driver for the wireless network card, the card identified by the AIDA 64 is Realtek RTL8168D / 8111D PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (PHY: Realtek RTL8211 / 8212) PCI
Thanks

Hi:
What you have identified is the wired network adapter, not the wireless one.
If the wireless card needs a driver, you will see a device listed under an other devices category in the device manager labeled as a network controller.
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel Centrino 1000 wireless card.
That card is not supported in W10 and there are no drivers for it.
You can try the latest W8.1 driver for the card from Intel and hope it may work. The 2nd driver down on the left is for 64 bit.
I would not try the updated driver linked on the yellow bar. It is not for the Centrino 1000.

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion on the network cards, however the problem is still happening, I installed the driver and I rebooted the computer, and windows still does not recognize the adapter. Also, nothing appears in the device manager.
I wonder if there is a possibility the wireless card has been lost, and if there is any way to figure it out.
Thanks

Try a hard reset, sometimes that will allow detection of a device that is not showing up.
1-remove power cord and battery
2-press power button for 20 seconds
3-reinstall only power cord for first startup.
4-power on

Hi, @Pedrojhms
You would have to reinstall W7, install the HP connection manager software, restart the PC and see if you can turn the wireless card on by using the software.
This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supported notebook running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53394.exe
If you can, then uninstall the connection manager software, restart the PC, confirm the wireless card is on, and then you can reinstall W10.

Hi:
The only other suggestion I can offer, would be to remove and reseat the wifi card.
Try to do it with the antenna wires still connected so you don't have to reattach the delicate terminals.
If that doesn't work either, then you can safely assume the wifi card needs to be replaced.
Consult the service manual (chapter 4) for the wifi card removal and replacement procedures....
