Hi Rockst3r,

Do you have a wireless or LAN network that you can connect to? With an activated copy of Windows, you'll be able to use every feature of Windows.

Take a look at the "Activating Windows: FAQs"

Thank you,

Hi,

i can't connect with wifi, it doesn't work. Ethernet doesn't work too.

You mean to connect my PC with laptop with cable?

Hi Rockst3r,

If you're unable to get any type of an internet connection (ethernet or wireless) connected to your PC I recommend contacting Microsoft Support.

If you have any questions feel free to post back.

Best of luck!

I have tried all the fixes that have been suggested except a factory restart.  My error message is missing driver code 31.  I have tried connecting the cable and pressing the button.  If I turn my computer on and hit the wireless button a few times it will occasionally allow me to bypass windows and connect to the internet.  I have no clue why though.   I think it is because my boys downloaded a ton of minecrap and I must have deleated something when trying to remove their game.

Prodcuct name: HP Pavilion g

Operating system: Windown 7 64

I have updated BIOS, Broadband & Reatex (sp?)

Removing the battery, pressing the Power button for a few seconds, reinserting the battery and starting the laptop once more solved the problem for me!

AHHH! That worked! Thank you so much!!!!

I was so confused oh why the internet was working but then my laptop wouldn't connect to it. (It just kept on saying that there was no connections avaliabe...)

I have no idea how it was disabled though because I surely didn't do it.

I have a feeling that it was to do with the other day when my HP laptop was taking ages to turn off and I was going to go to bed so then I just held down the power button...

Not sure though.

Well I sure won't obe making that mistake again!!

Again - thanks for the advice! You're a star. Owe you one!
