I just received an hp envy 14 t-1000cto that i bought refurbished. I came with windows 7 64bit. After booting up I tried to connect to my wireless network, but could not do so because the wireless device was turned off. I could not turn the device on with Wireless Assistant so I took a look and device manager the there was a window error code 31 for my Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 stating that it could not load the driver for the device. At that time, the F10 lan button could be turned on and off, and the Bluetooth was on and working. I went to the hp support site, downloaded the latest driver for the n-6200 chip, uninstalled the old driver and then installed the new one. Now my F10 lan button does not work at all, I have lost the bluetooth drivers (they are not listed in device manager any longer) and I still cannot connect to my wireless network because the wireless device is not tu;rned on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Error 31: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123
Recommended resolution: Update Driver
Don't use the driver from the HP support website. Use the latest from Intel. This driver works for me for the same card: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18748/eng/ICS_Ds64.exe
Uninstall all wireless drivers and delete them from the SWsetup folder if they are present!! After that reboot install the wifi driver. Get the wifi work first and bluetooth after..

Thank you Grad Student! The only issue was when I uninstalled the hp driver and deleted the driver from WSsetup/WLAN folder, the driver still reinstalled on reboot. I tried driver sweeper to find the darn think but never did find the source for the reload. So the next time I uninstalled the old driver in DM and installed the intel drivers and voila, I am typing from my laptop. Figured out the bluetooth also. Thanks again for solving my problem.
