I noticed that your notebook came with 256gb M.2 2280 SATA SSD in the primary bay.

You could put this as storage drive in secondary bay if you desire: http://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-850-evo-m-2-500gb-mz-n5e50...

Don't know much about others.

Samsung has not given me a headache till now. I've not seen major issues with Samsung M.2 SATA SSD here in forums.

You have all rights to go for any other good brands too.
