bios administrator password

I need bios administrator password to change boot order. I have one hp 6530b.

The password was set by someone, there is not admin one, you would need to know the password.

some notebooks can reset this password by removing the cmos battery for a minute or two, be sure you enter the bios after doing this and set the date and time before windows loads

I have an EliteBook 8460p which I purchased second hand. I too need to access BIOS and either get or reset the Admin BIOS password.

I read the threads here, and tried the chat route with HP support. They state that I need to contact a local HP authorized service station. The fellow's name indicated he was from India or Pakistan.

I doubt that I'll get much satisfaction from the local shops without shelling out some cash.

Anyone have a solution for this later generation laptop?
