can't access wifi on hp 650 notebook pc

my laptop product name is hp 650 notebook pc ....(64 bit windows 7).. i formated my laptop two  days  ago.. now i cant access wi fi...  i dont have driver cd for wifi.... i have visited the  website of HP..and select my model,,,.. and download the all wifi support driver for my model.
 but still problem exists... please help me.. what is the exact model name of wifi driver.. ?
I have realtek pcie gbe family controller network adapter installed.
Network controller and pcie device are not installed--harware lds of them are

Make sure you are selecting the correct laptop model (can be found on the bottom sticker):

If it is indeed the 650 Notebook, then dowload all of the driver installation files located here under "network"

Once you install all of the drivers, restart the laptop. If this doesn't work, you may have a hardware issue.

For purely networking, you need the ones which don't have bluetooth in the name (the second and third). That is all you (should) need. If they still don't run properly, right click the .exe --> properties. Under compatability, select windows 7, then hit ok. After you do this right click the .exe and select run as administrator.

This is all assuming that your computer originally came with Win7.

i tried but still same problem ( stops in middle installation ) 
i succcesfully installed realtek local area network (lan) driver  but Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter (International) he stops in middle of instalation
i assume that i need other driver for my wifi adapter

Hey ellmirr0001, 

I'm sorry you're running into this issue with the wireless driver. I would suggest look at the wireless card itself to see what the brand and model number are. 

Here is your Maintenance and Service Guide. Wireless Card (WLAN module) removal begins at the bottom of page 38. There will be a label on the card that says either Ralink, Intel, Broadcom or Qualcomm Atheros. Just after that will be a model number. Make note of that and let me know that information. Once I have that, I can link you to the proper wireless driver. 

Also, check your current BIOS version by pressing FN + ESC. Look for 'F.##' and let me know what that is.

Also, the picture you posted was very helpful. I see that you have an Atheros AR5B225 wireless card. Here is the correct driver you'll need for your particular model. 

Atheros Wireless Driver version 10.0.0.251

Click the green and blue 'Click for Download' button at the bottom. For some reason the Atheros wireless driver is not listed on your notebook's Driver Page. The Atheros Bluetooth Driver is, but not the wireless driver, which is the one you need. I will forward that information to the department that handles Driver Pages.

The site from the above link is legitimate. I have suggested that site before to other customers and have never had a complaint. Allow it to install and restart if necessary. When you've finished the wireless driver update, proceed to the BIOS update in the next post.

I wanted to address the BIOS update in a separate post to avoid confusion. Thanks for providing your current BIOS information. You have F.22. There is an update for F.37. 

BIOS version F.37

Download and install F.37 after updating the wireless driver from the previous post. During the BIOS installation, your computer will restart on its own. Allow it to restart and get back to the login screen or desktop. Let me know the results when you get a chance 🙂
