Hi,

As you mentioned digital persona is not working in IE, Please download a patch file(Digital Persona Fingerprint Reader Software) for this and install it on the computer.

You will be able to use Digital Persona with Internet Explorer 8.

Update can be available : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-72110-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

If it still does not fix your issue you can reply to same message.

A StackHash error occurs when DEP is invoked and has an issue with whatever application you’re trying to run. The error is related to Data Execution Prevention.

The projected solution was provided by "v-Ada" @ Microsoft Technet, and I have provided it below the link to the source for ease of use:  Fault Module Name:StackHash_0a9e

First make sure you have all of your Windows updates. Then perform a clean boot:  How to perform a clean boot in Windows

If the error persists, please follow the steps to fix the issue.

  1. Click on the Start menu and then go to the Control Panel.
  2. Click on System Maintenance and then System.
  3. Choose Advanced System Settings.
  4. Under System Properties, select Settings from the Performance section at the top.
  5. Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab.
  6. Select “Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select”.
  7. Find the executable file for the application that triggered the error.
  8. Select the application causing the error and click Open

Let me know if this helps.
