Hi everyone :),
I'm trying to find for my HP Pavilion dv2109nr, a working Windows 7 driver for my Conexant HD Audio. It seems the default HD Audio driver from Windows 7 doesn't support my audio well. If my laptop goes to sleep, bring it out makes the sound not work. I have to fully reboot my laptop to get the sound working again. Also, my internal microphone doesn't work at all. I did find a Vista working driver, but I don't think it's working like it should. Internal microphone is producing, in recordings, Mono sound through only one speaker.
It seems I've been searching for over 4 months for some type of Windows 7 driver. It does seem that one doesn't exist. If anyone can help me, I really thank you very much. 🙂

Go to Control Panel and open Windows Update.Choose to also see 'Optional' updates, look through them for a Conexant driver.Worked on my dv2810.

Back at it again. Don't know if you guys have any luck with this situation? I finally did a chat earlier with HP, doesn't seem there's a fully working driver for Windows 7.. may never be. My only problems are with recording through microphone and audio disables when bringing my laptop out of sleep mode. 😞 Any driver that fully works is fine with me, Vista, etc.

I use vista driver without any problem in Win7, go to your support page download sound driver.
Use vista compatibility mode while installing that driver (right click, property, compatibility and choose vista) then run it.

Have you tried your Vista driver, using Compatibilty mode as suggested above by Rakhmad:

I've tried the Vista driver for my audio. That was the first thing I tried after not finding a driver for Windows 7. It installs fine with/without compatibility mode. I just have popping sounds after sound hasn't played with Windows 7 running (friend signing onto messenger). I've always had trouble with my microphone not recording in stereo. I know that this is an issue using the Vista driver. Yet again, I'm not giving up. I don't prefer to use Vista, even though my laptop is capable of running it. Windows 7 has more features and is most of all faster in performance on my laptop. It's just this audio issue that is messing it all up. 😞
