Welcome to the HP Support Community! I will be happy to help with your update problem. Error code 0x80070490 is an error with Windows Update. Try the troubleshooting in this Microsoft Support link. What there anything else with that error code 87? This occurred when you right-clicked your command prompt to run it as an Adminstrator correct? What is the product number of your notebook?

Hi rikardomunoz18,
I realized that I forgot to actually put in the Microsoft link. Is this the troubleshooting you had already done? If so then I would try updating the apps one at a time to see if there is a particular app that is causing it. Also you didn't answer my question from above:"What there anything else with that error code 87? This occurred when you right-clicked your command prompt to run it as an Adminstrator correct?"

Hi rikardomunoz18,
So you tried the troubleshooting in the Microsoft link including using the Microsoft Fixit tool? If you have then I would recommend that you contact Microsoft Support as this error is a Windows Update errror. Another option you could look at is doing a full System Recovery.

Yes, you will want to back up you data onto a disc or a USB flash drive or external hard drive as a System Recovery will wipe all the data.
