I have a brand new  HP Laptop that is supposed to have backlight features on the keyboard.  How do I turn it on?

Hi,

 

Are you sure this option is on your machine ? If Yes flease use the foloowing methods:

 

 To turn the keyboard back light on or off, use one of the following methods depending on your model.

    Press and hold the fn key and then press the space bar .
    Press the F5 key.
    On some models, the back light key is f12 .

neither key worked.  was sure was available on my keyboard.

When I looked closer there is a light symble on my f5 key.  Thanks!  It is really a nice feature now that I know how to turn it on.
