have a hp stream 11 that is less than 1 month old. all of a sudden laptop could not connect to wireless network. did troubleshooting which said no driver could be found. so downloaded the driver from the hp site from a different computer and ran it on the hp stream 11. restarted and it worked. however within an hour the same problem came up again. i again ran the network driver again and it could connect to wireless network again. is there a permanent solution to this problem?

After calling HP support in Japan, they recommended to restore the system to its original factory state. This worked to have the Realtek network driver to be installed back into the device driver and so now i can connect to the internet now.
Hopefully this is a permanent solution, but not sure of the source of the problem, so can't say for sure right now.

Hi there @izumity
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you are regularly losing your internet connection, requiring reinstalling the driver to fix. I am happy to help with this. Please post the full product number for your notebook. See the following, if you need help with that information. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
From the sound things, it seems like there is some software that is corrupting your driver, or changing settings on your system. I would highly suggest that you screen your system for all types of malicious software. As a start these may be of help to you.

UPDATE: This fix did not work because after overnight the device driver for the network adapter for some reason disappeared from the device driver list! Anyway this is still a present problem, so i will open this problem again.

Windows 10 automatically installs new drivers with updates, and the newest driver is the problem.
Follow directions here to turn off automatic driver updates: http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/
Then go and reinstall the original factory driver again. It should stay this time until you choose to update it manually.
