My wireless mouse stopped working. I use it on a Windows 8 laptop. I have been using this wireless mouse with this computer for almost a year. All of a sudden it just stopped working. I changed the batteries, so that was not the problem. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and that didn't work. Is there anything else I can try before I buy a new mouse? The product # is WT564A.  The model # is FHA-3510. The S/N IS CN1[Personal Information Removed]. The product #, model #, and s/n is for the mouse not the computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just want to say thanks for the links. None of them helped. I tried everything. I think that the mouse just finally quit. I used it a lot. I just ended up buying a new one. Again thanks and I hope the links that you provided help someone else.

Similar problem, buttons worked but pointer didn't.  Answer: failing battery.
