This started off as what was supposed to be a simple solution and I will try to answer your questions.
could a rtc battery failure cause this type of situation?
I pulled the RTC battery from my dv8 and it did boot up and asked me to reset the BIOS files _ press enter to do so, after that it booted normally without the RTC battery. So no, the failure of the RTC battery could not cause this type of situation.
or prevent me from solving the problem?
Based on the answer above it wouldn't make any difference if the RTC battery was dead or not, however I would take the battery to an electronics store where they should be able to check it for you. My dv8 is quite new so maybe removing the RTC battery and booting up would not make any difference, the only way to find out for sure is to test the battery or try a new one.
is there a company default bios password?
No, not that I know of, I am not an HP employee though, but still, I would think that HP would not have any master pass words to get into the BIOS. The common practice to remove a BIOS password is to remove the RTC battery in the instructions I gave you earlier and that works 100% assuming that there is nothing else wrong with the computer. It is quite the coincidence that all this started happening with the password problem, but unless I would have the laptop in front of me, I can't really trouble shoot this any further.

Hey! good news i solved my problem, here is what i was told to try by a technicien: turn computer on, open display so it wont go in sleep mode, wrap it in a cover so it over heat's until it shut's down by itself, then turned it on and was able to boot and make changes i had to reinstall windows i found out that the base of the problem was an out of date driver on the graphic card witch caused video failure allways keep your drivers up to date. I hope this will help, this solution has a 50% chance of succes

What you did is reflow the solder on the video card by causing it to over heat. I wouldn't keep doing that on a regular basis if this happens again, you will end up damaging other working components on the mother board.
There is an actual youtube video with a guy doing this too.
However I am glad that your machine is up and running again.
