This customer advisory is for a different driver.  It describes an issue when using the 62.26.x.64 version of the "HpCISSs2" driver.  It isn't related to the "HpSA2" driver ...

Same problem here - just installed the W2K8 R2 driver (6.6.2.64). Is this the final solution? There is also a later driver for this (6.2.4.64)- should I probably use this?

Thanks

Server 2008 R2 version 6.6.2.64 driver tip saved my bacon. HP ML350e G8/ Windows 2012 R2 Essentials - kept getting blue screen/ KERNEL CHECK SECURITY FAILURE even AFTER applying HP recommendations. Due to install over Christmas/New Year break. Good onya Martin.

A new driver was released to support both W2K12 and W2K12 R2 (version 62.8.0.64)

We tried the new ProLiant Dynamic Smart Array RAID Controller Driver for Win Server 2012R2.  Appears we are still having the same problem.

Hello All,

I think I've fixed the problem with the HPSA2.sys file

I've got also problems with tthe HPSA2.sys driver.

*****What did i DO*****

I Installed Server 2008R2 on a Proliant DL320e G8 V2 Server through Windows Deployment Server
I used WDS on a stand alone server 2012R2 Server.

After installing through WDS and restart the deployed server  the deployed server hangs whith de error HPSA2.sys

What did I do.

(I think the shift + F10 will allso work with a windows setup DVD. Or use windows repair function on the setup DVD)

I boot the  deployed  server again and boot it through Windows Deployment Server.

When the WDS boot image is started press left shift + F10 button.

You should go into Windows Command Prompt.

In the command prompt navigate to the drive of the deployed server.

In most cases the drive letter should be 😧

 D:\Windows\system32\Drivers

Delete the HPSA2.sys file  ****(D:\Windows\system32\Drivers>del hpsa2.sys)*****

Reboot the deployed server

The server will boot without problems and you can finish the windows setup procedure.

I hope this would fix the problem for you all,

Kind Regards,

Menkes Kooistra
