Elitebook 8570w
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have had to replace a hard drive in my Elitebook 8570W (SSD locked up or died) and have downloaded many. many drivers from the HP site, but the machine is still looking for the cd/dvd drivers and I can't find them among my downloads.  I'm replacing the 128GB SSD with a WD 1TB Black, if I can get it to work.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Hello @GeezerG

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

If you already installed Windows 7 on this PC, how did you do it ? Using Windows installation DVD or USB pen drive ?

Windows should automatically detect the CD/DVD device and usually does not need 3rd party drivers downloaded from anywhere.

Your full set of drivers for your PC is located here >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-elitebook-8570w-mobile-workstation/5257502

Just select Windows > Windows 7 (64 bit)  or the appropriate one for your case.
