Hello I have a major problem. My laptop fell on the table yesterday, it doesnt have cracks but when i turn it on the power goes on and the fans are spinning but the problem is that it has no display, it only shows black screen and it has small lights on the side of the LCD. I've been trying all the tutorials in youtube and google like removing the battery and the charger and holding on the power button for about 1 min  but it daoesnt work 😞  I try connecting it to the external monitor uisng HDMI cable and it works. Please help me. My auntie would be very dissappointed on me if she finds this out.

P.S  I'm sorry for my bad english.

Well if it works with HDMI then maybe your connector for your screen came off of the mother board. You will need to take the laptop apart and check the screen cable. Search youtube on how to dissasemble your laptop.

Hi. I have the same problem. Num and cap led's blink. But I couldn't understand the chart. My light blinks every second. Or might be a little faster than that.
And also the numbers in the chart, the blinks are to be counted per second or any other way? Like 6 blinks in a sec or what? Plz help. Thnx.

Thanx for the advice logics 71... Worked fot me. Las well. I was also facing the same pblm where 4 led blinks come and go. So I searched and end up here and removed one ram stick and booted and worked for me. I would also suggest a harf reset before doing this as it may help sm times.

You can keep tapping on the ALT+CTRLDEL keys contonuously and try it maybe 3 times times. If no

response,  then you need to buy an inverter board from Ebay and make sure its a new one, they are

very cheap maybe $5 or so, and replace the one on your laptop. The inverter board controls the

backlighting thats why you can still see all your hard drive, Wifi, and other lights and might even

hear the pc booting and music. Sometimes if you look closely you see a shaddow of the HP or Windows or HP logo gade away.

Youuuuuu.. are a clever person; while I was just stressing about my laptop I strolled upon this page, and I did what you did and Perect. I am going to try putting back the Ram to see what happens.

Thank you,
