Hi @Roony1

Welcome back to the HP Support forum.

It is difficult to troubleshoot such things remotely but I will do my best to provide you some tips and guides on the way to fix this issue. Hope we will sort it out.

Here are the things I suggest you perform to see how it goes - step by step:

Please, perform some basic hardware checks

1. Please, shutdown the computer using the power button

2. Power it on.

2.1 As soon as you press the power-on button even before Windows/HP logo appears, immediately begin hitting the Esc button (like tap-tap-tap).

This should open a HP Startup Menu which may look similar to this one

3. Choose F2 to open System Diagnostics. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform System Test >> Quick test.

This will check major hardware componets for issue (do it just in case) . Here is more info >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259#AbT1

If there are no system checks/no quick tests, perform HDD and RAM check.

Let me know the test results. If the tests pass without issues, continue. If not, please, let me know

Run Check Disk in Windows

1. Read the instructions here >> http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/guide-to-using-check-disk-in-windows-vista/

2. Follow the first part to schedule disk check after next reboot

3. Once done, restart to perform the disk check immediately

Let me know the test results.

Back to Windows:

1. If your computer has Symantec/Norton installed > run Norton removal tool (in Advanced mode) to remove any possible Norton products and leftovers >> https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v60392881_EndUserProfile_en_us

2. If your computer has McAfee installed - you should get rid of it. Run its MCPR removal tool > http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp

-- Leave Windows Defender only (MS built in AV) -- If you do not trust it or if you do not like it, we will fix it later

3. Optimize

- defragment your Hard Disk Drive > https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8933-optimize-defrag-drives-windows-10-a.html

- run Disk Clean Up - cleanmgr.exe > https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3012-disk-cleanup-open-use-windows-10-a.html

4. Download and run CCLeaner (from Piriform) with the extra options checked
>> http://www.howtogeek.com/113382/how-to-use-ccleaner-like-a-pro-9-tips-tricks/

5. Run the free ESET Online Scanner >> http://download.eset.com/special/eos/esetonlinescanner_enu.exe

Scan your PC for threats and unwanted/unsafe applications - remove if anything found.

Extra articles you should read
>> https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/37511-optimize-performance-windows-8-a.html

Some ideas there might be overkill (too much).

HP official articles about such issues you may also read >> http://hp.dezide.com/ts/start.jsp?guide=SlowComputerPerformance.net&as=true&section=social

Update all your drivers - specifically Network adapter for wireless device and video and audio cards

Here is how :

and

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes, post details.
