Hello again.
Did the computer originally have Windows 8?
First, download the following drivers.
Here is a link to the Broadcom Wireless LAN driver for Windows 7.
Here is a link to the Realtek PCI Card Reader for Windows 7.
Here is a link to the HP Quick Launch Button software for Windows 7.
Now, you will need to remove the previous drivers before installing these. Try the following.
- Click Start, type "Device Manager," and press Enter.
- Right click on each of the devices you listed above and select "Uninstall." If prompted you want to remove the driver and the driver package.
- Exit Device Manager and install the three drivers I posted above.
- After all three are installed you should reboot your notebook.
- Once Windows is loaded you should again visit Device Manager and see if the exclamation points are gone.
- Verify that the hardware works and post the result.

Hello samyak. I understand some of your drivers are not installed.
What version of Windows are you using?
First, I'd suggest you install both the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant. Then I'd like you to check Device Manager again. If any device has a yellow exclamation point beside its name then click on the device and give me the error code. If there are any "Unknown" or "Other" devices then I will need the Hardware IDs. Try the following.
- Right click the device and select "Properties."
- Navigate to the "Details" tab.
- Select "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu.
- Post these IDs here.
I'll keep an eye out for your reply. I hope you have a great day!

Hello again samyak. You are very welcome!
The first device (the virtual adapter) is virtual network which allows you to use the computer as a "software router." Unless you're using this PC as an Access Point this device is useless to you. This article has more information on the service. Your best bet is to just disable it. Try the following.
- Click Start, go to "All Programs," and select "Accessories."
- Right click on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator."
- Type the command "netsh wlan set hostednetwork [mode=disallow] and press Enter. This should disable the virtual adapter.
- Exit Command Prompt, reboot the computer, and verify that the device is no longer listed.
The device with the "ACPI/HPQ0004" ID actually returned two results. The first was the Quick Launch Button software. The other was related to Hard Drive Protection. Try this driver.
Make sure to reboot after all of these instructions have been completed. Then go back to Device Manager and verify whether everything looks as it should.
Continue to have a great day!
