HP Pavalion g4 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

i had windows 7 ultimate 64 bit operating system. 2 days back laptop started lagging in performance, everything hanged! Then i tried to change the windows by using bootable pendrive, which failed at 99%. later i used recovery cd supplied with laptop and windows changed to windows 7 home basics 64 bits. still i am facing same issue, laptop is still lagging and hanging!

how do i overcome this problem?

and also i would like to know how do i part my c drive into diffrent local discs?

whenever i try to part the drives it shows "your disc is not dynamic disc"

plaese help me through this! thank you.

From your description I would focus in on the hard drive. Have you tried running a diagnostic in the BIOS? (F10 as you power up) or even a chkdsk from within Windows?
