I had F.28 for about a week on my 6360b with a crucial m4 64gb. Directly after the update, it didn't boot, but I used an rescue stick with paragon software on it an repaired the boot information. Since then, no problems occured. The m4 64gb runned smoothly with sequentail read rates around 500mb/s, as is in the m4's specs.
Like I wrote before, I bought an 2760p days ago. But I can confirm, that SATA III definitely worked with Bios F.28 on a 6360b, which has the same chipset as the 6560b

Hello guys,
I also upgraded my great 6560b probook with a ssd. Model Samsung 830, 256 GB.
First problem:
I was unable to install W7. Problem occurred 0x80070057 when unpacking files.
With diskpart cleaned and created a new partition etc, didn’t do the trick. After loading the bios with factory defaults the problem didn’t occur. I think the quick boot option was the problem (disabled it).
But after the reinstall of W7 I get a really poor performance:
So what have I done:
Updated Bios to F28 and reinstalled W7 again
Aligned the partition (start offset = 65.536 / 4096 = 16), was already ok.
Run the magician software from Samsung
Installed intel drivers
Questions:
What are the settings in the bios from HP for a SSD? Only enable ahci?
I my SSD broken?
Is the Samsung 830 compatible with the 6560b (controller)
Does anybody else using a Samsung 830 256GB drive in a 6550b?
Any other suggestions?
Kind regards,
Patrick
Update:
To exclude the bios cause the problem, I downgraded to F22, but the performance is still the same=poor.

Hey Doekje
I Have the same samsung 830 256 Gb, when i change the F28 bios to 6Gb/s windows 7 (64bit) boots in 20 seconds, when i change it to 3Gb/s it boots in 10 seconds ! so performance goes down instead of up....
The Intel utility also shows still a 3gb/s connection when i change the bios to 6Gb, maybe i have to reinstall it with the 6Gb bios setting enabled? , will check when i have some more spare time (need the notebook for my work as well, cannot affort to have my windows corrupted...)

Update from my message @ 10-20-2012
The Samsung 830 was broken and replaced by a Samsung 840 (not pro version).
The results, performance are ok now. It was not a HP issue.
But like others on this forum, the ssd is not working with F28 and the option 6gbs enabled. The ssd is not recognized at startup. Only with the setting 3gbs enabled the ssd is recognized.
I hope HP will come with a firmware update.
