I also had issues. I first tried the OCZ Vertex 5 256 GB, which did not work. I've tried the original BIOS, F.27 an F.29 and none of them worked. The drive btw was on firmware 1.5 (the latest) and did work in a different PC.
After finding this thread, I exchanged my drive for a Crucial M4 256 GB, wich worked without a hich with BIOS F.27.

I installed Intel 330 SSD 120GB into my Probook6560b.
Eventually I managed to get it run using 3Gb/s maximum SATA speed.
After updating the BIOS to version F40 yesterday, I set the speed to 6Gb/s.
The machine started once and I tested it half an hour. Everything went nice and smooth and I had the feeling that it worked much faster too. Then I shut down the system, started again and bang, It didnt start.
I couldnt even open the BIOS set up for an hour. I only got the message hard disk not found. Finally I managed to go in set-up and I set the speed back to 3Gb/s. Now its workin again like before.
Sad to say but it seems that fixing this problem is not in HP's hands ?
Otherwise Probook 6560b is nice Laptop and I like it. Only thing that makes me pissed off is to have SATA3 SDD and use it in SATA2 mode. I am thinking to ask my employer to buy me Probook 6570b that has USB3 ports too. Does anybody know if that model has the same problem with 6Gb/s SATA speed ?

Hello Probooker,
Your ProBook is a Business model. Your issue would be best answered on the HP Enterprise Business Community Forum
Good luck!
