Hi,

No, it's not too late - remember to back-up any personal files etc that you need to keep before doing this.

One way of returning to Factory Settings is as follows

Shut down the notebook.  Tap away at f11 as soon as you press the power button to see if this will launch Recovery Manager - if it does, you can use this to reinstall the OS.

Regards,

I have a Compaq 110c 1010SP and I tried F11 on boot and it doesn't do anything 😞

I turned on the laptop imediatly presses F11 and let the finger on it but it continued booting normaly to windows.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anoother way  I can format the laptop. I have no XP Instalation disc...

Hello Fernandoleal,

I see that you are having problems running a system recovery on your HP computer.

Is Windows XP currently installed on the computer? If so follow the steps in this link to run a recovery. You can select the tab "Reformatting the hard drive" if you are able to boot into windows.

If you are unable to boot properly I would suggest tapping the "F11" key on start up and if that doesn't work try tapping the "Esc" key on start up.

Let me know what happens.
