hi
Problem........ (screen says the system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly. System fan (90B) )
I tried F2 and F10 during start-up
on both occasions nothing appeared on screen
however a shrill alarm sounded
I Immediately switched off on both occasions
please advise

I see that you are having problems with a fan error when you start your computer. I have some suggestions that may help with this issue.

Hi,my laptop is Hp Compaq Presario CQ57-447si.Product no. A9B02EA#ACQ Serial no {Personal Information Removed}.When I start up it shows Bios error(501) and also writes "no bootable device".I have done memory test bt it did not help.Thanks

Can you access the BIOS of the computer? To access the BIOS you should tap the "F10" key on start up. If you can access the BIOS I would suggest restoring the BIOS default settings.

Hello Leto47,
I see that you are having start up problems with your computer. With the error message you provided it would suggest that you need to replace your hard drive.
Have you replaced the hard drive?
