i tried to connect my laptop to my t.v and it didn't work so i went to the icons on the bottom of the screen im not sure which one but it gave me the option to switch to external monitor and my laptop screen went black and i can't get it back to normal HELP this is driving me mad!

Hi,
Try pressing f4 and then hit enter.
If this doesn't help. Hold down the fn key while pressing f4, release the fn key and hit enter.
If niether of the above help, post back with the following.
1. The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook ( from the service tag underneath your notebook ) - see Here for a further explanation.
2. The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).

Hi,
The only other video port on your notebook is a 15 pin VGA port - this is indicated as Item 2 on Page 19 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
The only thing to be aware of here is that the VGA port supports video only, there is no audio transmitted through a VGA connection.
