It restarts because that's how the System Preparation Tool operates. It is a tool that prepares the computer after a refresh. It should only run once, not every time your computer turns on. In your case either it hasn't completed successfully at least once or due to some glitch, it somehow got on the Startup Services list by mistake.

Here's a quick explanation on what the System Preparation Tool is. I apologize if you've already read this in your own research. I'm just trying to provide as much explanation as I can.

"SysPrep was developed by Microsoft to make it easier for IT departments that prepare machines from cloned images of Windows. When you image a hard drive it retains old registry entries, device drivers, and product keys, and all of this has to be removed for a new system to operate correctly on a network of computers and devices (known in the IT industry as a domain). Running SysPrep is simple. It is also an alternative way to do a little spring cleaning of a computer before doing a full-fledged reinstall of Windows."

By taking it off of the Startup Service list, that should keep it from running every time you turn on your computer.

OK.

But in My PC Intel Vivi Media server is not listed in startup and services .

Is any option to stop the services

Ok Thanks for letting me know.

I did some more research and found some promising information. A couple of people on this thread found that another recovery fixed the issue. Some users on that thread mentioned either interruption of the recovery process or a glitch that caused the computer to remain in an Audit mode.

I would like you to check on Audit mode first, before trying another recovery. Follow these steps (taken from here).

1. Click the Start button

2. Type 'regedit' and press Enter

3. From the folders on the left navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\State

4. Double-click 'ImageState' on the right

5. Clear out the text in the 'Value data' field

6. Click OK and Restart the computer.

When it restarts, let me know if the System Preparation Tool comes up again. If so, you may need to put a different value in that Value data field.

I Cleared the value data filed, and restart . After restart , The value data filed is remain same it not cleared.

Ok. I'm sorry I know we're going through a lot of steps here but I do want to help you resolve this issue. Before we go any further with registry changes, I would like you to back up the registry. Here's how to back up the registry.

Once the registry is backed up, here are a few changes to try:

Option 1

1. Open regedit.exe

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus

3. Change 'CleanupState' value data to '2'

Change 'GeneralizationState' value data to '7'

4. Click OK.

5. Restart the computer. If SysPrep is still coming up continue to Option 2.

Option 2

1. Open regedit.exe

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status

3. Change 'SetupType' value data to '0'

Change 'SystemSetupInProgress' value data to '0'

Change 'SetupPhase' value data to '0'

    Leave 'CmdLine' value data blank

Change 'OOBEInProgress' value data to '0'

4. Click OK.

5. Restart the computer.

Let me know the results of those options. If neither option works individually, try them both together.

My laptop is in same registry value as like option1

I have tried option .2

After wards, I restart the PC, In Login other user only shown, And it ask username and password..

But in previous it doesn't ask user name and password .

And I try and enter into safe mode. In safe mode it login properly . From that I have set Administrator password and then restart.

Now, For login into administrator, i give password . It Show error message " The administrator is blocked your account"

How can I login ? .

And also there is option to reset password, but it ask USB flashdrive. If I insert usb and reset password, what will happen ?

HP Recommended

There is a special Password Reset CD/USB drive you can create, that allows you to reset the password, but you have to make it before-hand. So inserting any USB stick wouldn't work.

Did you bacup the registry with the instructions from my last post? If so, you should be able to get into Safe Mode and restore the registry from that backup.
