After initial setup of Stream Notebook yesterday, I discovered it is synced to my Lenova laptop. My searches and favorites show up on the Stream and vice versa. My grandchildren will be using the Stream so I cannot have it linked to the Lenova. Can you help?

Hi @skp21 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I hope that you enjoy your experience with us.
I see that you searches and Favorites are showing up on both your new Stream and Lenova. I will be happy to help you with this. What browser are you using with your Stream? Is is the same browser as your Lenova? Is it just internet searches that are showing up on both or does it happen if you search via File Explorer or from the main tile page?

I am using Internet Explorer on both computers. As far as I can tell, it is just internet searches thus far. I am limited in my technical skills. I don't know anything about File explorer and never do searches from the tile page.
Thanks for your help.

Hi skp21,
Internet Explorer can be synced if you are logged in with a Microsoft Account if you are using the same account for both devices. Try this on both machines, assuming they are both running Windows 8 or 8.1. Press the Windows Key and C, click Settings and click Change PC settings at the bottom to open it. On the left side of the new screen select Sync Your Settings. Then on the right turn off Brower. That should prevent the search history and favorites from syncing.
Another option is to create a Guest Account for the grandchilden. There are two types of accounts you can create the first a Microsoft Account which is setup with an email address. The idea is that you can log onto another computer with the same account and it will load your settings. Everything is synced through online cloud storage. A local account will be just for that computer and you can leave it without a password and also restrict access to certain settings so that can make any changes. This Microsoft link will show you how to do this.
