Hi Scorcinaio,
I will be happy to help you but I will need some more information. What exactly are you trying to do with Pavilion? I am not sure what you mean by “activate the wake on lan”. What version of operating system are you running?
Thank you,

Hi Scorcinaio,
I can help with that but I still need to know your operating system. Are you using the Windows 7 that came with or did you upgrade to Windows 8?

Hi Scorcinaio,
I have looked into the Wake on LAN (WOL) and have a couple of different links for you to check out. The first shows some BIOS settings for the WOL settings and the second link shows what you need to do in Windows 8.

Hi Scorcinaio,
I have been looking into this and from what I have seen enabling Wake on LAN for Windows 8 it may not be necessary to enable it in the BIOS. How are you turning off your computer? If you haven't disabled fast start up then Wake on LAN won't work. Try the link below and let me know.

I was trying to get WOL working on my HP Beats Special Edition 15-p058na which I believe is a modified Pavilion. As always, it's a bit of a black art. I think the original poster is correct - there are no settings in the UEFI BIOS for recent laptops to confire WOL and/or allowing PCI devices to wake the computer.
So if it's possible, then it will all have to be configuration in Windows. I came across this interesting article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2776718
In summary, if you have fast start-up enabled (which it is by default), then when your laptop is shutdown, it's not possible to use WOL. It is possible to turn off fast startup as describe which will just make your laptop slower to start-up from shutdown state.
However, I've still not been able to this working on my laptop even after checking the WOL settings in the network adapter.
There is one interesting configuration that's missing and it's the power management tab for the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. It's there for the WiFi adapter but not for the wired NIC. It's this tab that has the option to allow the device to wake the computer. Whilst for a different laptop, this link shows the tab that's missing.

Without this tab, then I'm not sure whether WOL is ever going to work...
My driver is dated 16/04/2015 so it's pretty up to date.
Of course, WOL never works on WiFi so roaming laptops would never work.
Cheers, Rob.
