I am sorry that I wasn't quite clear on what I meant by search.  I was referring to using a search engine such as google.com.

 

If you want to purchase it directly from HP, you can do so at the following link.  I suspect you might find it cheaper elsewhere by searching online using the HP part number.

Page 82 of this guide lists the processors that are compatible with that particular system.  I didn't see either of those processors listed.  Since they are not listed, I can only say that they are not compatible and buying one of those processors in your post would be a gamble.  Some have had a rare success with using a processor not on the list, but it does not work in almost all cases.

I just finished putting in an i5-2540 just cause I had read what @dk714 wrote a while ago. Works great no problems no overheating.
