I want to download some software so I can view film from my DVD camera onto my laptop, but can't find the internal CD drive on my HP Pavilion lap top.  Does this model not have one? if not, what can I do, so I can download the videos?

I found the product specs for your unit

According to this you do not have a CD/DVD Drive on your notebook.. you can try a USB CD/DVD Driver if you want to use a DVD or a CD.
