HP 8470p. 

Trying to enable WiFi.

Wireless radio LED ( front left edge) is on and white

 

HP connection Manager message- "wifi disabled by lan/wan switching"

 

How do I resolve this and enable WiFi?

Hi:

 

Go into the BIOS, and change the LAN/WLAN Switching setting from Enabled to Disabled.

 

Save the setting there by hitting the F10 key and again when you exit the BIOS (save settings and exit).

I am also experiencing the same issue and it got resolved when I disabled the LAN/WAN switching, however LAN/WAN switching shouldn't stop us from connecting to Wi-Fi. How to get it resolved without disabling the LANM/WAN switching?

I'm also experiencing this same issue. The workaround discribed above works but each time I put my device on its "docking" with wired LAN connection, the issue returns! Can you provide me with a permanent solution?

 

The WiFi hardware button does not work at this time (see pic 2)
