A friend gave me his computer to fix because he isnt good with PC.
Problem is when he bought his laptop there was an preinstalled windows 7 home premium oa x16-96072
But he forgot to make an backup and his harddisc crashed.
So he had to buy new one.
Now new hardisc is there and is empty but when i try to install same windows i downloaded from here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/please-give-me-download-l...
It wont let me in. I mean I burned this windows onto a dvd was in bios and set a boot from dvd but computer is always restrarting it doesnt boot from bios at all.
My computer have also a windows 7 64 bit x15 53758
When i tryied backup dvd to that broken PC windows is running a while. Into a position where i add country, product key at thats it. Then it shows message a windows is not compatible.
What i am doing wrong or how to make that dvd working ive downloaded from site i told above.

Hi,
Try the following.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Insert the Windows 7 installation disc. Select Boot options ( f9 ), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and hit enter. You may also get a prompt to 'Press any key to continue' - do this if asked.

Well as i mentoided above ive downloaded hope working windows from that site. Rest of users said its working so.
But when i put DVD into DVD drive it wont boot it from drive. Computer always restarting.
No idea why.
But when i put mine back-up dvd from my windows 7 64 bit version broken notebook uses 32 bit version its starts booting until a point it show a pop up different version of windows.
So my question is what i am doing wrong or why that dvd not working and computer cant boot from it?

Hi,
What software did you use to burn the Windows 7 ISO? It may be worth burning the image file again.
Also, if your notebook supports booting from usb, try creating a bootable flash drive from the Windows 7 image - If you need a utility to create a bootable Flash Drive for this Image, try the free application below.

Hi i just used standart win 7 burning program which is delivered with win 7
I also have an Power Iso and tryied to burn it as an image but this didnt work.
Ill try the USB for booting and i will see.
But this means i have to setup USB key somewhere in the bios. ň
Site i downloaded correct windows from i mean that windows probbably working rest of the users was satisfied.
When i opened DVD all files looks correct and exact for windows 7.
Still no idea why computer always restarting and doesnt even try to boot from DVD.
Only mine back up dvd working but that different windows 7 thats 64 bit not 32 and thats means i have to delete all that is on harddisk and his original cd key will be useless.
Anyway thanks for all your previous help and advice and hope u have some more.
I really want to make that PC working.
That guy spend 600 eur for that laptop.

Hi,
If your notebook supports booting from usb, then you can just tap away at the esc key as soon as you press the power button, insert the bootable flash drive, press f9 to access the boot manager and select the flash drive.

Hi,
Can you post back with the following details.
- The full Model No. and Product No. of your notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.
- What software did you use to create the bootable flash drive installer?
3. Just to ne sure, have you checked to see if another computer will boot from the flash drive?
