There are various versions of the G6 notebook available. What is the specific model of your notebook? This should be on a label on the underside of the notebook or in the battery compartment.
You can also press the Fn + ESC keys at the same time to get a popup that may have more information in the product name field.
What operating system does the computer use (Windows 7, Windows Vista, etc.)?
I did a little research of the Windows Mobility Center and it looks like it simply allows for easy enabling and disabling of the wireless components rather than storing the actual wireless network settings. BIOS also will not store the wireless network settings. If you could, please elaborate more on what you mean by the settings are missing from both.
Are you trying to connect to a wireless network? If so, this will be done actually outside of the Windows Mobility Center and the BIOS.

The specific model of my notebook is : g6-1060ee (Hp pavilion g6 note book PC)
OS - Windows 7 64bit home premium
i have tried many times to enable WiFi directly from button and from Network Connections ( where i simply double click on its icon and a pocessing messeg box appears "enabling" and enabled) , but it does't appear to be enabled at the same Wireless Network Connection icon i.e it still shows "Disabled" there.
i googled my problem at internet where i found BIOS option for its configuration.. I tried it and found no options there at my BIOS
secondly i agree with you on " Windows Mobililty " as u mentioned "it simply allows for easy enabling / disabling of WiFi components rather than storing the actual wireless network setttings" .. but what m saying is that even this enabling/disabling option is missing from my Windows Mobility Center..
Simply my WiFi do not get enables sir! Please help me
