- Setting Up Windows Hello Sign-In Options on HP PCs
Windows Hello provides a secure and personal way to log in to your HP computer using biometric authentication methods such as a fingerprint or facial recognition. Here's how to set up different sign-in options on Windows 11 and Windows 10 HP PCs.
Windows Hello Setup in Windows 11
- Set Up a Password:
- Search for and open Sign-in options in Windows.
- Select Password in the Accounts window and click Change.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create or change your password.
- Fingerprint Reader:
- Locate the fingerprint reader on your computer (available on certain models).
- Go to Sign-in options, select Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello), and click Set up.
- Follow the prompts to register your fingerprint.
- Facial Recognition:
- Available only on devices with an infrared camera.
- Navigate to Sign-in options, select Facial recognition (Windows Hello), and click Set up.
- Follow the instructions to register your facial data.
- PIN Setup:
- In Sign-in options, select PIN (Windows Hello) and click Set up.
- Enter your desired PIN when prompted.
- Security Key and Dynamic Lock:
- You can set up a security key through Sign-in options by selecting Security key.
- For Dynamic lock, ensure you have a Bluetooth device paired and allow Windows to automatically lock your device when you are away.
