If your JMicron Media Card Reader on the HP ProBook 4540s is not functioning correctly on Windows 10,
follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem:

Check Device Manager:
- Press Win+X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the "Memory technology devices" section.
- Locate the JMicron Media Card Reader and check if there's a yellow triangle or error message. This indicates a possible driver issue.
- Press Win+X and select Device Manager.

Update Driver:
- Right-click on the JMicron Media Card Reader in Device Manager.
- Select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If Windows doesn't find a new driver, visit the HP Support Page to check for the latest driver for Windows 10.
- Right-click on the JMicron Media Card Reader in Device Manager.

- In the Device Manager, right-click on the JMicron Media Card Reader.
- Choose Uninstall device and confirm the action.
