- Caller ID Not Available on Voyager Legend 50 – Alternative S...
Overview
The Caller ID feature previously available on Voyager Legend 50 is no longer supported. However, you can still enable caller name announcements through your mobile phone settings. This ensures that incoming caller information is announced over your Bluetooth headset.
Alternative Solution
Enable caller name announcement on your mobile device by adjusting the settings as per your phone brand.
Steps by Brand
Samsung
- Open Dialer: Navigate to the Phone app on your Samsung device.
- Access Settings: Tap the three dots (or gear icon) near the search icon, then select Settings.
- Select Answering and Ending Calls.
- Enable Caller Name Announcement: Turn on Read caller names aloud and choose Over Bluetooth headphones only.
Apple
- Go to Settings > Siri (or Apple Intelligence & Siri) > Announce Calls.
- Under Announce Calls, select Headphones Only.
Motorola
- Open Dialer: Navigate to the Phone app on your Motorola device.
- Access Settings: Tap the three dots (or gear icon), then select Settings.
- In the Settings menu, find Caller ID Announcement.
- Under Caller ID Announcement, select Only when using a headset.
Conclusion
Although the Voyager Legend 50 no longer supports Caller ID natively, enabling caller name announcement on your mobile device ensures you receive caller information through your Bluetooth headset. This is the recommended workaround for maintaining functionality.
