- How to Subscribe a Headset to the Savi 700 Series Base
The headset and the base are subscribed to each other right out of the box. If you wish to use a new headset, or need to restore subscription to your current headset, you have to subscribe (or introduce) the headset to the base.
NOTE: You can subscribe headsets of different models to the Savi 700 base (for example, you can subscribe the Savi W710 monoaural headset to a base that is set up to charge a Savi W740 headset). This is helpful in office environments where multiple people share a desk.
To subscribe a headset that fits the charging base (Secure Subscription)
Click here to see a video that shows how to perform a secure subscription.
Perform one of the following:
While not in a call, dock the headset. The headset will automatically subscribe to the base.
OR
With the headset docked in the base, double press the subscription button on the base.
To subscribe a headset that does not fit the charging base (Over-the-Air Subscription)*
Click here to see a video that shows how to perform an over-the-air subscription.
Double-press the subscription button on the base. The indicator light will blink green and red.
Press the volume up button on the headset for about three seconds until the headset indicator light turns solid. Subscription is successful when the indicator light on the base turns solid green.
*Depending upon how dense your headset environment is (i.e. how many headsets are being used around you), you may need to have the headset fairly close to the base in order to perform an over-the-air subscription. If you are experiencing issues performing an over-the-air subscription, you may want to try moving the headset closer to the base.
Base indicator light activity
The following table describes the base indicator light activity you may see during the subscription process.
Base indicator light table
Indicator Light | Activity Description |
Blinking green and red | Subscription mode |
Solid green | Subscription successful |
Solid red | Subscription failed |
