Product: Poly Headsets
Issue: Repetitive or random beeping sounds during usage
Applicable Models: All Poly wired and wireless headsets (sensor and non-sensor models)

Issue Summary

Users may experience continuous or intermittent beeping sounds from their Poly headset.
This issue can occur due to outdated firmware, incorrect PC audio settings, or sensor-related functions that may need to be reset or disabled.

Follow the steps below in order:

1. Update Firmware

  • Download and install the Poly Lens Application from https://www.poly.com/lens

  • Connect the headset to the PC

  • Open Poly Lens and check for available firmware updates

  • If an update is available, install it and restart the headset

2. Reset or Disable Wearing Sensors

  • In the Poly Lens Application, navigate to the connected headset

  • Go to Settings > Sensors or Settings > General

  • Choose one of the following:

    • Disable Wearing Sensors to prevent sensor-related false alerts or errors

    • Reset to Default Settings to restore sensor behavior

3. Ensure Headset is Set as Default

  • Open PC Sound Settings

  • Navigate to Sound > Output/Input

  • Ensure the Poly headset is selected as the default output and input device

  • In communication applications (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Jabber), verify the headset is set as the default speaker and microphone

4. Reset Headset via Poly Lens

  • In the Poly Lens Application, select the connected headset

  • Go to Settings > General

  • Select Factory Reset or Reset Device

  • This restores the headset to its original factory configuration

5. For Non-Sensor Models Only

  • If the headset does not have wearing sensors, skip Step 2

  • Proceed with firmware update, default device selection, and reset steps
