Issue Description

If you want Poly Savi headset to automatically power on and answer calls when the headset is lifted from the base, without needing to press any buttons.

Impact

We understand how important it is to have a headset that’s ready the moment a call comes in. When the headset does not power on automatically, it can slow down call handling and interrupt the workflow.

Resolution

This behavior can be configured using the HP Poly Studio desktop application by enabling Audio Sensing, Auto Answer, and adjusting the wireless settings.

Follow the Configuration Steps

 

  1. Open HP Poly Studio App
    • Open the HP Poly Studio application on the computer.
    • Select the Savi headset from the device list.

  2. Enable Audio Sensing
    • Go to Settings > General.
    • Turn Audio Sensing on.

  3. Enable Auto Answer
    • Navigate to Settings > General > Auto Answer.
    • Enable Auto Answer.
    • This allows calls to be answered automatically when the headset is lifted from the base.

  4. Set Default Line
    • Under Settings > General > Default Line, select the option that best matches the customer’s usage (PC, Desk Phone, or Mobile).

  5. Configure Wireless Settings
    • Go to Settings > Wireless.
    • Set Headset to PC Radio Link to Always Active.
    • This ensures the headset connects immediately when lifted from the base.

Once these settings are applied, the Poly Savi headset will automatically power on when removed from the base and answer incoming calls without any manual action. This configuration helps provide a smoother, more responsive calling experience.
