[FAQ] Poly Rove Background or Screensaver Image

Hello all,

A Poly Rove DECT handset can be configured to display a Screensaver/Startup type of image or a background Image

NOTE:
Please leave the Handset in the charging cradle in order to download and apply the change.
You may want to reboot the Base Station after setting up the below.
Image file type must be in BMP and image dimension cannot exceed 240x320 pixels.

Navigating to web interface and select System Management > Auto Provisioning > Auto Firmware Update and configure the path for the Background Image.

In this documentation I use a HTTP server ( I personally use MiniWeb) will show this:

FirmwareServer = <scheme> + <server name> <port> In my example http://192.168.1.95:8000
FirmwarePath = /<path(s)>/ to provision individual firmware. In my example /rove/
TerminalFilePath = /<path(s)>/ In my example /rove/background
Method = Something besides Disabled
Interval / TimeofDay = Set based on the value selected in Method

Further down in the Firmware Versions and Handset Images section you utilize per handset:

Rove20BackgndImgName <filename> example medical.bmp
Rove20StartUpImgName <filename> example success.bmp
Rove30BackgndImgName
Rove30StartUpImgName
Rove40BackgndImgName
Rove40StartUpImgName

Checking DECT Wireless > Handset Summary the FW Update Table will show the status of the BMP Download

The Individual Handset via DECT Wireless > Handset (number) will show via Status > FWUpdateStatus once the BMP is uploaded to the handset when it is in the Charging Cradle
