Notes: Some older SoundPoint IP, SoundStation IP, VVX 500, and VVX 1500 phone models may not be loaded with a factory-installed device certificate. See Prerequisites for details on determining if a phone has a factory-installed device certificate.

Some older Poly IP phones were manufactured before the Poly Zero Touch service was established in 2012 and may not have Polycom ZTP enabled in their default configuration. These phones will not automatically provision through the Poly Zero Touch service when factory reset, even when upgraded to a supported software release. The Polycom ZTP configuration setting must be enabled manually on the phones to automatically provision through the Poly Zero Touch service.
