Poly VVX 350

I am working on deploying the Poly Lens Relay; however, none of the documentation specifies the appropriate provisioning URL to use when pointing a Poly VVX to the relay.  Is the provisioning URL supposed to be "https://<lensrelayIPgoes here>/"?  Or should I be using a different port like 8443?  Should I be including the provisioning credentials within the URL?

Please help provide clarity.  I would also recommend that the documentation be updated.

For others' future reference, the URL should be:

https://<provisioningUserID>:<provisioningPassword@<polylensrelayIPaddressgoeshere>:8443/

I find it somewhat concerning that HP wants me to contact support directly because of limited support resources.  Wouldn't it make sense to answer my question here in the most efficient way possible instead of wasting 15-20 minutes of a support representative's time just getting my call logged?  Seems like support resources are being misapplied.  I will not be marking HP's response as Accepted, because frankly it's not an answer.

Hello @cdbmo ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

Could I kindly ask you to adjust your tone as the motto of the community is:

  • The HP Community is where owners of HP products, like you, volunteer to help each other find solutions.

If a community member replies, we expect you to follow the advice, not question it. The community is not a replacement for HP Poly's support structure, therefore, any replies provided are at best effort.

I did in the background follow this up and suggested the change to our public documentation but after all this community is just for self-help. I do hope this clarifies things as documented within the community

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
