Poly Lens Desktop v2.0.17 (Windows only) is available for download


NOTE:  Poly Lens Desktop 2.0 release is for Windows 10/11 PC/Notebooks only.
Mac PCs are supported up to Poly Lens Desktop 1.4.

Fixed Issues

  • Resolved an issue for single user and per machine install scenarios where duplicate Poly Lens Desktop app entries were created in the Poly Lens Cloud portal after upgrading the app to version 2.0.
  • Resolved an issue with the missing update prompt on Poly Lens Desktop app.
  • Resolved an issue with updating the Poly Lens Desktop app after postponing the update 3 times.

Known Issues

  • Device update over Native Bluetooth is supported for Device Software version 5039 and above.

  • AMD and Intel audio drivers on PCs/Notebooks must be updated to the latest supported full mute sync in Zoom with Bluetooth Direct. For more information, please refer to this Knowledge Article.

  • Camera Favorites will not be migrated to Lens Desktop 2.0.

  • Disabling the Manage All parent setting may not automatically disable its child settings.

  • Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 80 when connected to the system via native Bluetooth, incorrectly display settings under the Wireless category.

  • Performing Factory reset on Poly Voyager Free 60 and Voyager Surround 85 does not revert the following settings to their default value - Mute Reminder mode, Wearing Sensor value, Auto-Answer value, Auto Pause Music value.

  • User is unable to Hold or End Microsoft Teams call when using Poly Savi 7320, Blackwire 5210 or Blackwire 8225.

  • Language update fails when using Poly Savi 8410.

  • Poly Studio P15 may incorrectly display People framing option for the Tracking mode setting.

Since I have updated the Poly Lens Desktop App from version 1.5.1.6079 to version 2.0.17.2119 this weekend my Cisco Jabber Client (14.3.1.58554 Build 308554) always crashes directly after program start. Disabling the Cisco Jabber Softphone Module in the Poly Lens Settings made no difference. After I renamed the file "C:\Program Files\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop\LegacyHost\Plugins\PLTJabber.dll" to "PLTJabber.dll.old" I was able to use Cisco Jabber again.

Reinstalling the older version 1.5.1.6079 fixed the problem also. (I also tried a clean installation of version 2.0.17.2119 for a second time but the error occurred again.)

 

The problem is, that our users are not able to rename the file because they have no administrative rights.

When I would start distributing this version in our company, we would have a big issue with our telephony.

I hope it will be fixed soon. As long as this error exists I'll keep version 1.5.1.6079.

We have the same problem as Sebastian.

 

We also testet Jabber 15.0.1 with the same result.

 

Jabber does not work, if Poly Lens Desktop App 2.0.17 is installed.

 

HP, we need a fix for that.

Any News on this topic? Is a new version just around the corner? This is a serious bug for us.

We've had the same issue. Fortunately we have Bluetooth cisco phones and just paired the headset to the phone. So far that has worked.  I'm currently on an earlier version and keep getting the update notification. We've had 2 colleagues update prior to knowing about this and they had to delete poly altogether and just pair to their phones.
