- [Important] MTRoW using Poly TC10 error "Failed to initializ...
Hello all,
we have been made aware of an Issue with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows MTRoW in combination with Poly TC10 displays.
EDIT: A change has been made and no manual fix below is required if waiting for the next Maintenance Window overnight!
A current TCOS Software Update intended for MTRoA was also rolled out overnight to TCOS 6.7.0
As a fix Remote Desktop to the Poly Device
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Poly\DFU\
- Open the file dfuAutomaticUpdateSettings with Notepad as and then close it again
- Press Windows Key and search for Notepad
Right click on Notepad and run as Administrator - Notepad opens again and has the dfuAutomaticSettings in the History
- Change the end time from 03:00 to 23:00
Save the file and ensure it does not have an File Format .txt
-
Reboot the MTRoW
- Once the MTRoW has rebooted leave it in an idle state without logging on as Administrator for 15-20 minutes
-
After around 10 minutes or so TCOS 6.6.2 should download and Installed and downgrade the TC Device to TCOS 6.6.2 and pair with MTRoW
-
There is no manual activity or anything, it just depends on the network bandwidth for a time perspective to download around 1,3 GB
Once the file is downloaded the updater will replace the Files in the TC10 directory C:\ProgramData\Poly\DFU\TC10\touchctrl
to reflect the TCOS 6.6.2 firmware
-
The TC device will update
-
Once the device has been downgraded to TCOS please modify the dfuAutomaticUpdateSettings again as an Administrator
back from 23:00 to 03:00
- And save this again and reboot
