Product: HP ENVY 5030 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot seemingly disable HP cartridge protection on this device anywhere. Just spent £20 on some non-branded cartridges (because HP's are far too expensive for the ordinary consumer) and they will not work with my printer. They're the correct model & both installed correctly - just keep getting "Cartridge Error".

Cartridge protection has nothing to do with using non-branded cartridges.

 

Cartridge protection protects the current cartridge to a device protecting it so it can't be used in another printer.
