HP OfficeJet 4650
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The  printer has been working fine and out of the blue I get this message :

"Ink cartridge problem

Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge..."

I tried EVERYTHING suggested in the HP troubleshooting and forums sites and nothing works. So please do not send me to solutions that have already been tested.

I have an inkling that this is a firmware error after updating.

I spent money on two new black HP ink cartridges and nothing helps. If I am going to buy another printer I should be reimbursed for the cartridges.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand you are getting this error on the printer screen and I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink cartridge errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
