I tried buying some HP ink at Wal-Mart because they were taking too long to send more for me to print photos of my sisters celebration of life. Needless to say, the ink would not work and I bought the XL and regular. Then the ink came day after my baby sisters celebration and it worked just fine. I was really sad cause I was supposed to bring in a collage but couldn't. Anyways, are we not allowed to buy use ink from other places with this subscription???

@Ndanay79, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Ideally, the Instant Ink cartridges are delivered in 3-4 business days if there are no delays from the shipping partners.

I believe the printer you are using is enrolled in Instant Ink. There is no restriction from using regular HP ink cartridges. It should work fine. 

To assist you better, did you get any error messages?
