Subject: Printer Error and Service Issue

The cartridge, even though it is new, will not work. The printer is only a month old, and the cartridge is the one you sent to me. We are currently still within the three‑month trial period, so I don’t understand why the printer will no longer work.

The error we are getting is as follows:

Printer error: F0.01.01.02 — A critical system error has occurred. Restart the printer and try again. If the problem persists, contact your support representative.
FW version: 622448‑20250327232

The support representative I spoke with on Wednesday was unable to help, despite reinstalling drivers. I don’t understand why he was doing this in the first place — I have never connected the printer to a computer, as I have been printing documents from my phone. The printer just stopped working. He even took control of my computer and still couldn’t resolve the problem.

I am convinced this is an issue on your end, not mine. There is nothing wrong with my computer. This appears to be a billing or communication error between the printer’s billing department and the subscriptions department, which has caused HP to send a signal to disable the printer and cartridges.

Please resolve this issue as soon as possible. If you don’t, I will never trust HP products again and will tell all my friends and family about this experience. I will also post about it on all social media platforms.

Thank you.

Try these steps:

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer completely.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

Reinsert the Cartridge

  • Open the printer access door to reach the cartridge.
  • Carefully remove the cartridge and inspect it for any protective tape or packaging that might be obstructing the contact points.
  • Reinsert the cartridge securely, making sure it clicks into place.

Check Cartridge Compatibility

  • Ensure that the cartridge you are using is compatible with your printer model. You can find this information on the cartridge packaging or in your printer's user manual.
  • For Instant Ink users, make sure the cartridge is indeed one provided by the HP Instant Ink service.

Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

Reset the Printer

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer by accessing the printer menu:
    • Go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore or Reset settings.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.

Reconnect to HP Instant Ink

  • Ensure your printer is properly connected to the HP Instant Ink service.
  • If necessary, log in to your HP Instant Ink account and verify that your printer and cartridge are active and registered.

I hope this helps.
