Hi @catmagnet606,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've replaced the ink cartridge and the blue ink is still not working, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check the Cartridge: Ensure that you've removed any protective tape or covering from the new cartridge. Sometimes, people forget to remove these coverings, which can prevent the ink from flowing properly.
  • Clean the Cartridge: Sometimes, ink residue or dried ink can block the cartridge nozzles. Try cleaning the cartridge using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water. Gently wipe the bottom of the cartridge to remove any buildup.
  • Printer Maintenance: Run a printer maintenance cycle from the printer's control panel. This option is usually available in the settings menu. This process can help clear any blockages in the printhead or nozzles.
  • Print Head Cleaning: Most printers have a utility for cleaning the print heads. You can usually find this option in the printer's settings menu. Running a print head cleaning cycle may help clear any blockages in the blue ink nozzle.
  • Check Ink Levels: Make sure the ink level of the blue cartridge is sufficient. Sometimes, even if the cartridge is new, it might not have enough ink to print properly.
  • Align Print Heads: Some printers have an option to align the print heads. This can ensure that the nozzles are properly aligned for optimal printing quality. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to align the print heads.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include bug fixes or improvements that can resolve printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
