color ink 902

What is the story with color ink 902?  Why is there none available?  Why is there no information from HP about it?

 Should I use off-brand cartridges?  Other manufacturers seem to have them.

Hi @BeachSC,

 

I’d recommend you contact HP Phone Support in your region to purchase ink cartridges.

 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I have the same question. I have been unable to get the yellow cartridges and ended up using recommended off brand replacements, They worked fine for about a month, now they totally messed up the printer. I cleaned printhead numerous times and was able to get MAG and YEL to work with the BK but no CYN so the color printing is so screwed up. This 3 yr old printer was working fine until this screw up. I have searched high and low on the internet but unable to fine any YEL. What is the big deal with this? Other HP numbers have yellow. I will be forced to get another printer soon...maybe I should consider another brand. This is certainly a waste of time for me and everyone else caught in this trap. They seem to make a planned outdate  on this printer. Always been a loyal HP fan, now, not so sure, unless there is a good explanation for this.
