HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer is feeding one blank page after every envelope print. Microsoft Tech feels the issue is with the printer. Near the time the issue began, printer experienced an envelope jam. Envelope took some effort to clear. After clearing, printer seemed to function normally. However, next envelope print job was followed by a blank paper from the tray. Printer is out of warranty and paid HP support is not available. I have reinstalled firmware and software, and new oem toner. Problem persists.  If HP does not have paid tech support - where does someone look for assistance?

Thank you for your consideration

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:

Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Thank you for your response Betty. Through Microsoft I was able to reach HP tech support. HP ran diagnostics on my networked 1536dnf and found no irregularities with firmware, software or function. They worked with Microsoft tech but were not able to resolve the blank page feed after a manual envelope print in Word 365. The issue appears to be Microsoft Word 365. Microsoft upper tier tech support could not resolve the issue. I was told the problem would be referred to a development team. Meanwhile, I must deal with a paper feed after printing each envelope. I could not find any other users with this same experience.  I manually insert an envelope to the printer, open Word 365, select mailings, create, envelope, paste in addressee (from clipboard) and select print. I've done this for years and only last month did I start experiencing a paper feed after the envelope prints.

I understand. Hopefully the development team can figure this out soon for you.
